A Little of This, A Pinch of That

Last night I was hanging up Jon's work clothes, and Jasper decided he needed to go to work. So Jon dressed him up in an undershirt, chef coat and apron and Jasper went off to the kitchen to cook some spaghetti like Daddy does. He was extremely proud of himself, and it was so cute to watch him do it.

The finished product. Jasper plated it himself.

Giddy-Up!

Today we went to Fairytale Town with Jasper's friend David and David's grandma Kathy. It's located in this huge park and in part of the park there are horses that kids can ride. Jasper LOVED it. He absolutely did not want to get off. I thought he might be scared, but there was no fear whatsoever. I'm so glad we got to do this. He's so cute!

4th of July

Our neighborhood is great for fireworks because everyone gathers on the back street and lights off their fireworks, and we can also see the big fireworks they shoot off at the mall just down the street. It's a fun little neighborhood party, and Jas had a lot of fun. He started trying to convince me it was dark outside right after he woke up so he could go outside and do sparklers, and he's been asking to do fireworks ever since. It really turned out to be a great day.

Doing snakes

Eating a popsicle with his little friend David

Doing some tank firworks

The ever-popular snaps (David is wearing Jasper's snow boots. We're not sure why.)

Finally time for sparklers

Daddy's Birthday

Yay, Jon is now 25!!! Our original plan was to spend the day in San Francisco and watch fireworks at night, since Jon's birthday happens to be the 4th of July. Unfortunately, our car had other plans and is in the shop for several days. So, we had to create a birthday with things from places within walking distance. Luckily we live within walking distance of almost everything you could ever need, so it turned out great. Jon and Jas spent the day hanging out and I made a strawberry-filled chocolate-frosted cake and it was a lot of fun.

We had to light a candle for Jas to blow out like 8 times.

Yum!

We just got home from walking to McDonald's for dinner, and we got ice cream cones for dessert. Jas sure loved his a LOT.

Sneaky

I forgot to put this picture in with the other Utah pics, but I wanted to put it on. He is under my brother's bed, trying to be sneaky and open some candy he stole off of my brother's desk. I guess he thought if he was under there no one could see him.

Congrats Jonny!!!!

You finally did it!

The best thing to do after graduating is to burn any old school papers you have lying around.
"I love the smell of burning math in the evening"

Even though this is posting 2 weeks after graduation, it's still a great accomplishment. Good job, Ma, for getting all your kids through high school.
