We had the best spring break ever. Jon took the whole week off and we tried to do something fun almost every single day. It was such a fun, relaxing week.
Santa Cruz
| Jas got rolled by a wave and lost one of his shovels to the ocean, but he had an absolute blast in the water. It was not warm but he did not care. |
| Journey and I stayed on the sand while Jas played in the water. A rogue wave got us too, but I was able to save Journey and I spent the rest of the day with wet seat. |
| Daddy turned Jasper into a sand angel. |
| They rode the Ferris wheel on the boardwalk. Turns out Jasper is not scared of heights and Daddy is the one with green gills. |
Children's Discovery Museum
| Such a fun place. This is what it looks like as soon as you walk in. |
| So many things to look at and touch, and she just wanted to slide down the display. |
| I think Jasper looks pretty proud the their accomplishment. |
San Francisco
| We drove in on the Golden Gate. |
| We visited Pier 39 and ate lunch at the Hard Rock. Jasper was pondering life by this monster crab statue. |
| Jasper and I rode the carousel. It was a lot of fun. |
We also had to drive down Lombard Street. We also drove through Chinatown and Haight-Ashbury and through a lot of other parts of the city. We were glad the rain held off until we were home.

Big Basin State Park
This was one of our favorite places. It's a redwood forest area. We couldn't believe how big the trees actually are. It was nice to be out in the fresh air.
| This is a banana slug. They are all over the area. Weird ugly little things, but the boys were fascinated. |
| In the museum they have taxidermied animals and snakes and bugs that you can find in the area. I did think putting the snakes in tubes was a neat way to display them. You could turn them all the way around to see all the details. |
| Jasper and Daddy purchased walking sticks but decided to use them as wizard staffs and shoot spells at each other. |
| These roots must have been at least 12-15 feet and Jasper just climbed to the top like a monkey. |
| Tuckered out at the end of the week. It was such a great family adventure. |
